IPEX Group of Companies is Hiring a Fabricator Near Preston, ID

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Fabricator-C! This role is based in our facility in Preston, Idaho and reports to the Shift Supervisor.

Our current openings are on the Swing Shift working Monday-Thursday 3 : 30 pm to 2 : 00 am...3 day weekends every week. The starting rate is $19.

61 per hour plus $1.25 shift differential!

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanor for this role. The successful candidate will focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Full training is provided!

Principal Responsibilities

  • With training, set-up, operate and troubleshoot all fabricating machines.
  • Set up of molds and the machines for all lines.
  • Identify material problems ensuring that the product can be manufactured within the standard requirements of the Company’s Quality Control program.
  • Accurately set the process parameters.
  • Remove all scrap materials from the manufacturing areas to the designated storage areas, ensuring that material is stored in a logical and orderly fashion.
  • Housekeeping around the area and machines.
  • Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Troubleshoot problems that involve multiple-choice options and determine the most appropriate course of action.
  • Support and stay in sync with the efforts of the Joint, Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
  • Perform a variety of other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic math
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
  • Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to contribute to and foster a positive team environment
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful.
  • After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes.
